Support Course
This course was designed to teach advanced skills used by pre-hospital
practitioners that must meet patient care obligations in austere, prolonged field
care, and tactical applications. This program is for experienced medics that have an
understanding of when these skills would be required, as it is primarily an extended,
advanced lab session.

Topics discussed, and skills practiced include:

  • Basic and advanced wound closure
  • Blood collection, administration, and monitoring
  • Escarotomy
  • Pericardiocentesis
  • Point of Care diagnostics
  • Point of Care Ultrasound
  • Prolonged Field Care Issues
  • Retrograde Intubation
  • Surgical Airway
  • Tube Thoracostomy
  • Urinary Catherization
  • Ventilator Management


This course can be taken in support of the Hybrid Tactical Medical Responder;
TEMS programs; Austere/Remote Medicine; Executive Protection Programs, and, as
clinical hours for the IBSC® TP-C® Re-certification program. 32-40 hours, $595.
